- What is Topface?
- Topface lets you discover interesting people, be it girls or guys, with similar interests and hobbies from around the world. It could be new friends for messaging, chatting, or maybe even something more. When using Topface, you can meet those you want - it's so simple!
- How do I start using Topface?
- To start using the application, register your e-mail account or use a social network to login: Facebook, VKontakte, or Odnoklassniki.
If you login through different social networks on Topface, you will have multiple accounts, but they won't be related to each other.
If you login to Topface via your email then your account will only be tied to an email address and in no way connected to a social network. - How much does it cost?
- To start using Topface you won't need to pay a dime. Registration on Topface is free. Create a profile and upload your favorite photos, find interesting people from around the globe, send and receive Likes, and become popular in your city by being in the "Photofeed".
If you want even more, buy VIP-status: it lets you stand out from the crowd, browse profiles anonymously, get more Likes, and talk to/date as many people as possible. - Why do I need VIP-status?
- VIP-status gives you access to additional privileges that allow you to:
- send messages without a required mutual like;
- view your guests and fans;
- go unnoticed while visiting others' pages by being in "Invisible" mode; - What are Coins needed for?
- By using Coins you will be added to the "Photofeed" and become popular in your city. Coins also help you give romantic and friendly gifts to other users, as well as send other forms of affection to people you like.
- What are Likes and how do I use them?
- Likes are a token of affection that you can send to others and get them in return.
Purchasing likes means that you will certainly get as many as you have purchased in return.
That means that when other users send you likes, your own number of sendable likes is consumed; it always works the other way. When you send likes to other users, it means their own likes are being used up. - What are Admirations?
- Admirations are likes that allow you to draw more attention to yourself in comparison to regular likes.
- What is the "Photofeed"?
- When you're in the "Photofeed" everyone in your city will see you! You'll get a ton of Likes, Messages and go on many new dates.
- How to get into the "Photofeed"?
- Go to the section "Photofeed", click "+" then choose your best photo and follow the remaining instructions.
- What are "Favorites"?
- If you don't want to lose contact with an interesting person, you can add them to your Favorites list. This will surely help you keep in touch! You can add a user to your Favorites via their profile or in the chatting window.
- What are admirers?
- Admirers are users that have added you to their Favorites.
- What are Guests?
- Guests are the people who've visited your profile.
- How can I delete my Topface profile?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click "Settings", select "Account", click "Delete Account".
To delete your profile without the possibility of reactivation, don't login to your profile on a mobile device in the future. If you login to a deleted profile, your page will be reactivated. - How to reset my password?
- If you cannot access your existing account and want to restore your password, click the "Restore your passsword" button and specify your email address, then click "Send Password". Afterwards follow the instructions from that email to restore your password.
Purchases in Topface
- How do I buy VIP-status, Coins and Likes?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click the rocket icon and you'll see a VIP-status purchase screen. On this screen you'll see different options of VIP-status Subscriptions, as well as a list of bonuses that VIP-status gives.
You can purchase coins and likes on the fill-up screen. Click the "Fill up" button on the lefthand menu and select a product that interests you.
Purchases can be made through the App Store.
In the Topface app, on the Purchases page, choose a product that interests you. To complete a purchase, enter your App Store login and password, then follow the instructions.
If you don't have a bank card, you still can make purchases in our app with the help of Yandex.Money. You can use it if you don't want to share your credit/debit card info - get an iTunes PIN (costing from 500 to 15k rubles) and follow the instructions you see onscreen. When using the above link you'll see a "Buy Code" button. Click on it and complete your purchase following the instructions there. - I bought VIP-status but it didn't activate. How do I fix this?
- Use the built-in feedback form.
Open your profile from the main menu, click "Settings", select "Leave feedback", select "Payment Problems". Enter additional information, your e-mail address and the order number. Click "Send" (in the top-right corner).
Note that if you use multiple Topface profiles, your VIP-status will not carry over to others, only for the one you activated it on. - How does a VIP-status subscription work?
- A VIP-status purchase works like a subscription. When you subscribe, iTunes automatically withdraws money from your account and your VIP-status gets renewed.

General questions
- How do I turn off email notifications?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click "Settings". Disable unwanted notifications in the Notifications section.
To turn off notifications for Topface's web version, go to your profile settings here: http://topface.com/mail-settings/ - How do I change my password?
- In the main menu, open your profile, click "Settings", select "Account", click "Change Password" and follow the instructions.
Please note that changing your password this way is only available for accounts that have been registered with an email and not linked to any social networks.
If you login to Topface through a social network such as Facebook, VKontakte, or Odnoklassniki, you should change your password in the social network, then use it to login to Topface. - How do I confirm my email address?
- Open your profile, click "Settings", select "Account". Enter your email address or change it if the previous one was entered incorrectly, then click "Send Verification". After that you will receive an email with further instructions per the email address provided.
- How do I logout of my current account?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click on "Settings", select "Account", click on "Log out".
- Why can I not logout of my current account?
- To logout of your current account you have to to confirm your email address.
Open your profile from the main menu, click "Settings" , select "Account". Enter your email address or correct it if it was originally entered incorrectly. Then click "Send Verification". You will receive an email with further instructions to the address specified.
Profile and photos
- How do I add new photos?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click on "+" in the Photo section. You will be prompted to select an existing photo from your device gallery, or take a new one.
- I cannot add a photo from the gallery. How can I fix this?
- You have to check your privacy settings for the Topface app in your device settings.
Open your phone settings, select "Privacy", then "Photos", then enable access for the Topface app. - How can I delete photos?
- Open your profile from the main menu, open the photo you want to delete, click on the bin icon. Note that you cannot delete your profile photo.
- Why was my photo deleted?
- There are certain rules that, should they not be followed, will result in a photo's deletion by our moderators.
For example:
- The photo shows someone else beside you (other people's photos, objects, animals, vehicles, etc. These will be removed);
- The foreground of a photo must contain at least one person (photos of groups of people, photos with another person in the foreground will be removed);
- Photos must not contain prohibited content as stated in the User Agreement (alcohol, product placement, etc.);
- Photos with different effects (such as frames, flowers, stars, etc.) are allowed, but must not take up more than 50 % of the total area of the photograph;
Compliance with these rules ensures all your photos will be published.
If your photo has been removed but you believe it does not violate the above rules, please refer to our technical support team (in the section "write a review"). We'll be sure to sort out the problem.
Dating and chatting
- I cannot send a message to another user
- To send messages to the other users you have to confirm your email address.
Open your profile from the main menu, click "Settings" , select "Account". Enter your email address or correct it if it was originally entered incorrectly. Then click "Send Verification". An email with further instructions will be send to the address specified. - How do I change my search parameters in the "Dating" section?
- Open the "Dating" section, click on the magnifying glass icon, then change the search filters to your liking.
- How do I send a gift?
- Open the user's profile, go to the "Form" tab, click "+", then choose the gift that you want to send.
- How can I delete chat messages?
- Swipe your finger from right to left on the conversation that you want to delete. Click the bin icon.
- How do I add a user to my "Favorites"?
- You can add a user to your Favorites in several ways:
- open the user's profile, click "More", select "Add to Favorites"
- from the Messages section: open a chat with the user, click on the title of the chat menu, in the menu that appears click "Add to Favorites" - How to remove someone from "Favorites"?
- Go to your 'Favorites' section. Swipe from right to left on the name of the user that you want to delete, then click the bin icon.
- How do I add someone to my Black List?
- There are several ways to add someone to your Black List:
- open the user's profile, click "More", select "Add to the Black List".
- from the Messages menu: open a conversation with the user, click on the title of the chat menu. In the menu that appears, click "Add to the Black List";
- from the "Messages", "Guests", "Admires": swipe from right to left on the name of the user and click on the block icon. - How to remove someone from the Black List?
- Open your profile from the main menu, click on the "VIP" tab, then "Black List". With your finger on the name of the user you want to delete, swipe from right to left. Click the bin icon.
- Somebody has sent me spam or an abusive message. What should I do?
- Open a chat with the user, click on the title in the chat menu that appears, click "Complaint", state the reason for the complaint, then click on "Send" (in the top-right corner).
- How to report/file a complaint about another user?
- Open the user's profile. Click "More", select "Report", state the reason for your complaint, click "Send" (at the top-right corner).
